Vi Bella and Mission of Hope, Haiti join hands to create a better life for Haitian Artisans
Mission of Hope, Haiti (MOH) and Vi Bella are expanding their successful collaboration that began last summer to create more jobs and ministry opportunities together in Haiti. This spring, Vi Bella and Three Cords, a social enterprise started by MOH to employ disabled and at-risk women, will combine product lines to bring a complete set of high quality handmade accessories to each others’ customers and partners. Simultaneously, the organizations will explore ways to further integrate product design, manufacturing, and distribution with an eye towards creating more life changing artisan jobs in Haiti and funding more ministry work at MOH and HaitiOne.
According to Brad Johnson, President of MOH, “We have known Vi Bella since they first started, and we love their passion for workplace ministry. They have a true mission-minded business, focusing on giving back to Haiti to reach every man, woman and child. By working together, we can see more artisans employed and trained while watching a business grow and evolve into something with much greater impact for the entire nation.”
“The Vi Bella journey began with my own mission trip to MOH” said Julie Hulstein, Founder and CEO of Vi Bella. “God placed on my heart a desire to use job creation as a way to help create beautiful lives for the people of Haiti and their families, while using the success of Vi Bella to donate back to the life transformation work happening through MOH and HaitiOne. Partnering in this way is a wonderful next step in seeing that dream become reality.”
Going forward, Vi Bella and MOH will work to achieve a full line of artisan products and provide new ways for customers and partners to better experience and understand how their purchase of Three Cords and Vi Bella handmade fashion is significantly changing lives across Haiti.
